The play, Eashwar Allah tero naam, began in a breezy atmosphere at the Lamakaan. As soon as it began, its luck ran out with the onset of rain and the audience fled to catch a dry spot. After a brief pause for the downpour, the play resumed full furore. Eashwar Allah tero naam is based on communal harmony. The play is a reflection of communal hatred that seems to be seeping into every open split and crevice of our society. What once was a great land of many positive adjectives, ‘Sone ki chidiya’ is now reckoned with deep-seated anger and violence amidst different faiths and communities. The play was staged suggestive to the upcoming Independence Day. The play suggested that if this communal hatred and violence are given breathing space, it would suck out any remaining peace and ultimately lead to a burning nation.
